Teach Beyond Borders ZA is recruiting qualified and enthusiastic English teachers for exciting teaching opportunities in China.

This is an opportunity for South African teachers to gain international teaching experience, experience a new culture, and develop professionally while working in a supportive educational environment.

The Role

As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and interactive English lessons to students in a classroom environment. Depending on the placement, teachers may work in schools, kindergartens, training centers or other educational institutions.

You will be expected to create a positive learning environment, encourage student participation and help learners develop their English communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons.
• Teach students using age-appropriate and interactive methods.
• Encourage students to participate and communicate in English.
• Create a positive, professional and supportive classroom environment.
• Monitor student progress and provide appropriate feedback.
• Prepare teaching materials and classroom activities where required.
• Work professionally with local teaching staff and school management.
• Attend scheduled classes and fulfil all contractual teaching responsibilities.
• Adapt lessons to suit different age groups and ability levels.
• Maintain professional standards both inside and outside the classroom.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
• Strong spoken and written English.
• Previous teaching experience is advantageous but not always required.
• Newly qualified teachers are encouraged to apply.
• Professional, reliable and enthusiastic attitude.
• Ability to work with children and/or young learners.
• Willingness to relocate to China.
• Ability to meet the relevant visa and work-permit requirements.

• Competitive salaries starting from approximately R25,000 per month.
