Night Auditor

Our Night Receptionists are the calm, capable faces of Propr while the rest of the city sleeps. This role is all about ensuring our guests feel safe, supported and looked after throughout the night, while keeping our Aparthotel operations running smoothly behind the scenes.

You'll be responsible for welcoming late arrivals, assisting overnight guests, resolving issues independently and completing the nightly audit processes that prepare our teams for the day ahead. What you’ll be doing:

• Make sure our guests are happy, even at 2am!
• Welcome late-arriving guests and ensure they have the best possible check-in experience
• Assist with early departures and ensure a smooth check-out process
• Be the first point of contact for all overnight guest enquiries and emergencies
• Represent Propr professionally to guests, clients and building staff at all times
• Respond to guest requests, concerns and incidents calmly and efficiently
• Liaise with Guest Experience, Property Managers, Operations, Security and on-call teams when required
• Answer emails, messages and phone calls received overnight
• Create bookings and process guest payments where required
• Prepare reports and hand over important information to the day team
• Problem-solve independently and make sound decisions when managing overnight situations
• Ensure the reception area and shared spaces remain presentable and guest-ready for the morning

Here’s our description of the ideal person for this job:

• Based in Cape Town
• Comfortable working night shift hours (11:30 PM to 8:30 AM)
• Hotel, hospitality or Night Reception experience is highly advantageous
• Reception or customer service experience is a must
• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
• Confident making decisions and taking ownership during overnight shifts
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Calm under pressure and able to think clearly during unexpected situations
• Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
• Comfortable working with numbers and completing financial reconciliations
• Tech-savvy and confident learning new systems
• Reliable, punctual and dependable
• Naturally proactive and able to take ownership of their shift
• Someone who genuinely gives a shit about each guest's experience, no matter what time of day (or night) it is
• A Team player! Even though you'll often work independently, you'll ensure your handovers set your teammates up for success and help deliver a holy-sh*t level of service every single day
