Nurse Lead

In this role, you will take overall accountability for quality nursing care, patient safety, compliance and patient outcomes, while leading and developing a high-performing nursing team. You will also represent nursing within the Interdisciplinary Team and play a key role in ensuring that every patient receives a safe, compassionate and outcomes-focused rehabilitation journey.

CRITICAL OUTPUTS

• Leading and managing nursing care within the rehabilitation environment.
• Ensuring high standards of patient care, safety, quality and clinical governance.
• Representing nursing within the Interdisciplinary Team and contributing to patient care and therapy plans.
• Driving effective admission, discharge and transition planning.
• Ensuring compliance with SANC requirements, legislation, policies and clinical protocols.
• Leading infection prevention, patient safety and risk management initiatives.
• Managing, coaching, mentoring and developing the nursing team.
• Planning appropriate staffing, rosters and skill mix according to patient acuity and occupancy.
• Supporting effective financial, stock and asset management within the department.

REQUIREMENTS

• NQF Level 7 relevant Nursing qualification – Diploma in General Nursing or B Cur Degree.
• Current SANC registration.
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Proven leadership and/or people management experience.
• Basic understanding of labour legislation, financial and change management principles.
• Computer proficiency, including MS Office.
• Code 8 driver's licence.

Pay: R36 000,00 - R50 000,00 per month
