REMUNERATION

Grade 1: R 181 230 - R 207 225 per annum, Grade 2: R 211 401 - R 239 922 per annum, Grade 3: R 249 141 - R 310 890 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).

INHERENT REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB

Willing to rotate in other wards when required. Willingness to work shifts (day and night), weekends, public holidays and overtime.

REGISTRATION WITH A PROFESSIONAL COUNCIL

Registration with SANC as a Nursing Assistant.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

Qualification that allows registration with SANC as a Nursing Assistant.

EXPERIENCE

Grade 1: None. Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as a Nursing Assistant. Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as a Nursing Assistant.

COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS)

Good Interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently, but also as a part of a team.

DUTIES (KEY RESULTS AREAS/OUTPUTS)

Assist patients with activities of daily living which includes patient hygiene, nutritional status, mobility and elimination needs. Provide elementary clinical nursing care. Effective utilization of physical and financial resources. Maintaining professional growth/ethical standards and self-development and record keeping.
