Role Description This Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner role is based in Saldanha, Western Cape. The Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner will provide primary and occupational health services to employees, including health assessments and ongoing monitoring of work-related health concerns. Daily responsibilities include conducting clinical evaluations, managing occupational health programs, supporting return-to-work and fitness-for-duty evaluations, and maintaining accurate medical and occupational health records.

Qualifications

• Strong clinical skills in Nursing and Primary Care, with the ability to provide comprehensive, evidence-based employee health services.
• Specialised expertise in Occupational Health Nursing, including Spiro and Audio.
• Experience practising as a Nurse Practitioner, with proficiency in advanced clinical decision-making and independent patient management.
• Applied knowledge of Occupational Health principles, regulations, and best practices in mining or corporate environments.
• Valid nursing registration and Nurse Practitioner credential with SANC
• Occupational health certification or postgraduate training in occupational health is highly beneficial.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities, including experience managing clinical caseloads and health programs.
• Demonstrated commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and continued professional development.
