Occupational Health Nurse

Location: Tygerberg Hospice Trust, Bellville
Contract: Three-Month Fixed-Term Contract

Tygerberg Hospice Trust is seeking a qualified Occupational Health Nurse to assist with a three-month project focused on strengthening the organisation's occupational health compliance and ensuring that all legal occupational health requirements are up to date.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct pre-employment, periodic, and return-to-work medical assessments.
• Perform health surveillance in accordance with occupational health risks.
• Issue Certificates of Fitness where applicable.
• Manage employee medical records while maintaining confidentiality.
• Provide occupational health education and training to staff.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for management and regulatory bodies.
• Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and other applicable legislation.

Requirements:

• Registered Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
• Qualification in Occupational Health Nursing.
• Minimum of three years' relevant experience.
• Sound knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and occupational health legislation.
• Computer literate, with excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Valid driver's licence.
