Job description
Cleaning Duties
- Sweep, vacuum, mop, and polish office floors.
- Dust furniture, desks, shelves, windowsills, and office equipment.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, toilets, basins, mirrors, and floors.
- Clean kitchen and tea station areas, including sinks, countertops, microwaves, refrigerators, and appliances.
- Empty waste bins and replace bin liners.
- Dispose of waste according to company procedures.
- Clean meeting rooms before and after meetings.
- Wipe doors, light switches, handrails, and frequently touched surfaces.
- Clean interior glass doors and windows where required.
- Refill soap dispensers, paper towels, and toilet paper.
Stock Control
- Monitor cleaning supplies and report shortages.
- Assist with stocktaking of cleaning materials.
- Ensure cleaning equipment is clean and in good working condition.
General Support
- Prepare refreshments for meetings when requested.
- Keep reception and entrance areas neat and welcoming.
- Perform deep cleaning according to the cleaning schedule.
- Carry out any reasonable cleaning-related duties assigned by management.
- Serve the team coffee, tea and water while working.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 10 or Grade 12 preferred.
- Previous cleaning experience in an office, commercial, or corporate environment is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of workplace hygiene practices.
- Ability to read and understand basic cleaning instructions.
- Physically fit and able to stand, bend, lift, and walk for extended periods.
