INTRODUCTION:
Komatsu South Africa is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join the Finance Department at our Head Office in Germiston. The preferred individual should have at least 3 years' experience with the full scope of financial accounting with emphasis on accounts payable and a Diploma in Payroll Administration or related qualification (NQF 6) a B.com Degree with accounting (NQF 7) will be an added advantage.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Diploma in Payroll Administration or related qualification (NQF 6) (Advantage)
- B.com Degree with accounting (NQF 7) (Advantage)
EXPERIENCE:
- 3 years experience in:
- Payroll with sound basis of financial accounting
- Sound experience with SAP and different categories of wage/salaried staff (Advantage)
- Ability to work under pressure and within strict deadlines.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge of legislation (EEC, BCEA, Main Agreement, Income Tax Act etc).
- Bargaining Council (SEIFSA) agreements.
JOB SPECIFICATION:
- Payroll: Financial Administration - complete process.
- Stays abreast of employee taxation laws & SEIFSA Main Agreement and any other legislative issues impacting payroll.
- Performs financial administration of the payroll system.
- Visits Operations when required.
- Administrates legislative-required documents.
- Administrates medical aid/pension- and provident fund payments.
- Administrates payroll procedures at month- and year-end.
- Prepares quotes / invoices for Safety & Fatality Bonusses.
- Monitors data integrity of employee data regarding relevance, title changes, transfers & movement.
- Resolves & responds to queries raised on Payroll Support according to SLA’s.
- Produces Human Resources movement & variance reports when required.
- Drafts workmen’s compensation annual report.
- Completes & submits Sick Pay fund applications.
- Completes quarterly STAT reports.
- Submits monthly citizen remuneration to 3rd party for KMO.
- Submits monthly Expat remuneration to 3rd party for PAYE & shadow payroll.
- EMP201; EMP501; annual and monthly submissions for subsidiaries.
- Monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and reconciliations of 3rd parties.
