Job description

Mr Mattress is a South African mattress manufacturer. We make our own beds and sell them online and by phone across the country, backed by a 365 night home trial and free delivery. We have served more than 25,000 happy sleepers and hold a 4.8 star rating.

We are looking for a Online Customer Service Consultant to join our head office team in Bloemfontein. You are the voice of Mr Mattress after the sale. You keep customers happy, sort out problems quickly, and make every person feel looked after.

What you will do

- Answer customer questions by phone, WhatsApp and email, in a warm and helpful way.

- Handle delivery questions, order updates and tracking.

- Manage the 365 night home trial: exchanges, swaps and store credit, start to finish.

- Deal with warranty claims and service requests, and see them through until the customer is sorted.

- Work closely with the warehouse and dispatch teams so customers get the right answers.

- Keep clear notes on every customer in our system.

- Turn an unhappy customer into a happy one. This is the heart of the job.

What we are looking for

- Matric. A tertiary qualification is a bonus but not required.

- MUST BE AFRIKAANS SPEAKING AND ENGLISH

- At least one year in customer service, a call centre, retail or admin.

- Excellent spoken and written English and Afrikaans.

- Calm, patient and genuinely friendly, even with a difficult customer.

- Organised, able to follow a problem through to the end without being chased.

- Comfortable on a computer, WhatsApp and email. We will train you on our systems.
