About the Role
We are hiring Online English Teachers to deliver engaging one-on-one classes to students aged 6–16, as well as some adult learners. This is a flexible, work-from-home opportunity perfect for qualified South African teachers who want to teach international students while enjoying a good work-life balance.
What You’ll Do:
- Teach English and communication skills through interactive one-on-one online classes via Zoom
- Help students improve their speaking, listening, and confidence in English
- Follow provided curriculum and teaching materials (no lesson planning required)
- Create a fun, supportive, and engaging learning environment
- Track student progress and provide feedback
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of teaching experience (experience teaching children or young learners is preferred)
- Strong English communication skills (South African English is welcome)
- Teaching qualification or certification (e.g. PGCE, teaching diploma, TEFL/TESOL, SACE registration) is a plus
- Reliable internet connection (minimum 10 Mbps)
- Laptop or desktop with webcam and noise-cancelling headset
- Must be available to teach at least 15–20 hours per week
Working Hours (South Africa Time - SAST):
- Monday to Friday: approximately 12:30 PM – 4:30 PM
- Saturday & Sunday: 4:30 AM – 4:30 PM (flexible shifts)
- Preference will be given to teachers who can teach full days on weekends
