Position Details Start Date: Immediate, upon completion of recruitment and onboarding

Location: 100% remote — must be based in South Africa

Students: Young learners aged 4–16, based in China, proficiency A1–C1

Class Type: One-on-one and one-on-two (max two learners per class)

Language of Instruction: English

Platform: ClassIn

Rate: US$6.50 per hour

Class Duration: 25 minutes (regular); 21–25 minutes (demo)

Contract Type: Independent Contractor (remote)

Hours: Minimum 14 hours per week, within the teaching window of 12:00–15:30 SAST (18:00–21:30 BJT), Monday to Sunday. You decide how to spread your hours — up to a maximum of six days a week.

Bookings: Hours run on student bookings rather than fixed guaranteed hours. Reliable teachers with regular students tend to build steady, recurring schedules.

Minimum Qualifications Completed tertiary qualification in any field

Accredited 120-hour TEFL, TESOL, CELTA or equivalent certification

Minimum 1 Year Of Teaching Experience Clear, effective spoken English
