Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Online Piano Teacher to join our music education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in piano performance and teaching, especially the ABRSM syllabus, with the ability to inspire students of all ages and skill levels.
This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, fostering a love for music, and helping students achieve their musical goals in a supportive environment.
Duties
- Develop and implement tailored lesson plans that cater to the individual needs of each student.
- Teach piano techniques, music theory, and performance skills in a structured manner.
- Encourage students to express their creativity and develop their unique musical style.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to enhance their learning experience.
- Prepare students for performances, auditions, examinations, or competitions as required.
- Maintain an organised environment for lessons, ensuring all materials and resources are readily available.
- Communicate effectively with students and their guardians regarding progress and any areas for improvement.
Skills
- Proficiency in piano performance with a solid understanding of various musical styles.
- Previous teaching experience is advantageous but not essential; a passion for teaching is key.
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey concepts and engage students.
- Patience and adaptability to accommodate different learning paces and styles.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students, fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
- Knowledge of music theory and the ability to teach it alongside practical skills.
