Job Title: Online Sales Executive

Futurama, a leading retailer in the hunting and outdoor industry, is looking for a driven and experienced Online Sales Executive to join our team. This is a senior-level position focused on growing our online sales while ensuring all related administrative processes run smoothly.

At Futurama, we are known for delivering expert advice and top-tier service across a wide range of products, including Night Vision, Shooting Optics, Sport Optics, Astronomy, Air Rifles, Renewable Energy solutions, and more. The ideal candidate will bring professionalism, integrity, and a genuine interest in these categories.

Position Details

Location:
Futurama Head Office – Somerset West, Western Cape

Purpose of the Role:
To increase online sales performance, manage all related admin functions, and provide excellent customer support, contributing to the continued growth of our e-commerce operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute strategies to grow online revenue
• Handle all sales-related administration, including order processing and customer communication
• Maintain and manage product listings, pricing, promotions, and stock levels
• Deliver high-quality customer service by assisting with queries, resolving issues, and offering product guidance
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth and consistent online customer experience
• Track and evaluate sales performance to identify opportunities for improvement
• Keep up to date with e-commerce trends and apply best practices
• Assist with annual stock takes and ongoing inventory management

Requirements

• At least 5 years’ experience in online sales with a proven track record
• Strong experience working with e-commerce platforms and online retail systems
• Knowledge or experience in our product categories will be beneficial
• Matric is essential; a qualification in Business, Marketing, or a related field is advantageous
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Good analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
• Interest in outdoor activities such as hunting, camping, or similar

Starting Salary: Range R8,000 to R10,000 per month + uncapped commission

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday
• 08:00 – 17:00
• Office-based role (full-time)

Location Requirement

Applicants must be able to travel to Somerset West daily or be willing to relocate before starting.

• R100 000 – R139 999: 8.5%

• R200,000+: 12.5%
