Tekkie Town, a leading division of Pepkor Trading (Pty) Ltd, is on the hunt for a driven, detail-oriented and organised Operations Administrator to join our team in Cape Town. The Operations Administrator is responsible for supporting the planning, execution and continuous optimisation of daily operational workflows across the division. This role ensures that administrative processes, store support systems and operational logistics are efficient, accurate, compliant and consistent with the company’s strategic and commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting in the preparation, consolidation and dissemination of operational documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), compliance directives and operational bulletins to retail store teams.
- Coordinating the administrative workflows, logistics support, data entry and record management related to store equipment, operational assets and operational supplies.
- Providing direct administrative and operational support to retail stores and field teams, responding to daily queries, and resolving store support requests efficiently.
- Conducting operational audits and compliance checks (via reporting, documentation reviews, or photos) to ensure store operating standards are maintained to high company benchmarks.
- Facilitating effective communication and alignment between the Operations department, internal stakeholders (Finance, HR, Store Managers) and external service providers.
- General Administration where required.
- Collate in-store and operational information.
- Travel coordination for team members and finalising all related travel payments
- Calendar management.
Qualifications
- Educational Qualification: Matric (National Senior Certificate) is essential.
- A Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Retail Management, or a related field is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in administrative support, business operations or a similar operational role within a retail or corporate environment.
- Previous experience working with budgets and expense management.
- Practical experience assisting with operational process coordination, inventory or asset tracking and general administrative reporting.
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise deadlines and coordinate operational resources.
- Excellent language skills (verbal and written) in English.
- Familiarity with operational tracking systems, ERP software (e.g., SAP) or basic reporting tools is a plus.
- Proficiency in Google Suite is an important requirement.
