Operations Associate (Ecommerce)
š Remote | Full-Time
š° Salary: R30,000 ā R35,000 per month depending on experience
š Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am ā 5:00pm (UK Time)
Are you highly organised, proactive, and excited by the fast-paced world of ecommerce? We're looking for an Operations Associate to join a rapidly growing ecommerce business, working directly with the founders to help scale operations and improve efficiency across the business.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, building systems, and using technologyāincluding AIāto streamline operations.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manage day-to-day communication with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and suppliers.
- Coordinate inventory management, stock forecasting, and product deliveries.
- Source and onboard new manufacturers and supplier partners.
- Support new product launches from supplier sourcing through to production.
- Monitor product costs, operational expenses, and identify opportunities to improve margins.
- Build and improve operational systems, processes, and AI-driven automations.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure successful product launches and promotional campaigns.
- Work closely with customer service, ensuring operational updates are communicated effectively across the business.
What We're Looking For
- 1ā2 years' experience in ecommerce operations, supply chain, logistics, or a similar operational role.
- Exceptional organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of AI tools and a passion for leveraging automation to improve operational efficiency.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work comfortably with data and reporting.
- Commercial awareness and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and eager to learn in a fast-growing business.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with Shopify is a must
- Experience with 3PL
