Reload Logistics is looking for an organised and customer-focused Operations Controller to join our Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating logistics operations, managing client communication, ensuring accurate documentation, and supporting the efficient movement of cargo from origin to destination.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

• Provide daily shipment updates to clients and respond promptly to queries.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through professional communication.
• Liaise with clients regarding transport allocations, vessel bookings, warehouse updates, shipment progress, and freight rates.

Operations & Logistics Coordination

• Coordinate transport bookings with approved transport providers.
• Monitor truck, container, and vessel movements to ensure on-time delivery.
• Liaise with clearing agents to ensure customs documentation is complete and accurate.
• Monitor vessel schedules, stack dates, and cargo movements, communicating any delays or changes to relevant stakeholders.
• Coordinate with warehouses to ensure cargo is received and dispatched efficiently.

Administration & Documentation

• Create and maintain shipment files and job records on Salesforce.
• Ensure all shipping instructions and documentation are completed accurately and on time.
• Process holding certificates, stock confirmations, conditional releases, and final releases.
• Verify cargo allocations and ensure all customs documentation is complete.
• Prepare accurate month-end stock reports for clients.
• Check and process customer and supplier invoices, ensuring correct rates are applied.

Compliance & Continuous Improvement

• Ensure company procedures and operational standards are consistently followed.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Support operational improvement initiatives and company projects as required.
• Ensure Salesforce data is accurate and up to date.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Minimum 2 years' experience in freight forwarding, logistics, transport, or supply chain operations.
• Experience working within the logistics or shipping industry.
• Experience using Salesforce or similar logistics management systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong administrative, organisational, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
