Operations Head

Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Operations Head to provide strategic and operational leadership across the organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all operational functions run efficiently, consistently and in alignment with the organisation’s strategic objectives.

The Operations Head will oversee operational performance, people, processes, resources, compliance and service delivery while identifying opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the organisation and ensure smooth business continuity.
• Lead, manage and develop operational teams and department heads.
• Establish and monitor operational KPIs, targets and performance standards.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and implement corrective and continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Ensure effective utilisation of people, equipment, facilities and other operational resources.
• Monitor operational costs and contribute to cost-control and efficiency initiatives.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and operational policies.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, legislation, health and safety requirements and industry standards.
• Work closely with Finance, HR, Production, Sales and other departments to ensure cross-functional alignment.
• Monitor service delivery and ensure operational standards are consistently maintained.
• Analyse operational data and prepare regular performance reports for executive management.
• Manage operational risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Drive accountability and a performance-driven culture across operational teams
• Lead operational projects, process improvements and business optimisation initiatives.
• Resolve escalated operational issues and ensure timely corrective action.
• Support organisational growth by ensuring operational capacity, systems and resources are aligned with business requirements.
• Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or relevant qualification in Operations Management, Business Management, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years’ relevant operational management experience.
• Proven experience managing teams and multiple operational functions.
• Strong understanding of business operations, process optimisation and performance management.
• Experience working with operational KPIs, budgets and reporting.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder-management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant operational systems.
