East Rand Bulk is an accredited leader in fuel transportation. We pride ourselves on safety, efficiency, and reliability. We are currently seeking a mature, vibrant, and energetic Operations Manager to take full operational ownership of our transport and fuel delivery department .

The Role at a Glance

As our operations Manager, you will orchestrate daily operational activities and customer deliveries. You will oversee incoming and outgoing fuel deliveries, manage stock, storage, warehousing, lead operational staff, and monitor inventory levels to guarantee that every single customer order is met flawlessly.

Key Responsibilities

• Fuel & Stock Control: Oversee total fuel inventory, track bulk deliveries, and manage secure storage activities.
• Fleet Support: Apply your practical knowledge of trucks and fuel tankers to manage spare parts and daily running needs.
• People Leadership: Lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team, overseeing and mentoring through the full employee lifecycle from recruitment to exit.
• Employee Relations: Manage workplace discipline within the department, resolve conflicts, and foster a harmonious, productive work environment.
• Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain exceptional record-keeping and working relationships with suppliers and clients.
• Compliance: Ensure all daily transport and storage activities fully align with the Road Traffic Act and fuel industry legislation.

What You Need to Bring (Minimum Requirements)

• Experience: 5 years or more, of proven experience in a similar role within the transport/logistics sector.
• Industry Expertise: Absolute, complete understanding of logistics, fuel transportation, and the Road Traffic Act.
• HR/BVO Expertise: Minimum 5 years of hands-on BVO experience (Recruitment to Exit), including solid knowledge of disciplinary processes.
• Education: Matric certificate is essential. Business studies, people management, or leadership qualifications will be a highly distinct advantage.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep familiarity with policies, procedures, resource management, and legislation specific to the fuel industry.
• Asset Knowledge: Good operational knowledge of trucks and fuel tankers (spares and maintenance requirements).
• Tech Skills: High level of computer literacy is a strict necessity.

Pay: R35 000,00 - R40 000,00 per month

Work Location: In person
