About the Role

Oil Saver is a growing used cooking oil collection and recycling company establishing its operations in South Africa.

We are looking for a hands-on, organized and trustworthy Operations & Business Development Manager to help build and launch the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete daily tasks and projects required to establish the business.
• Assist with licenses, registrations, and regulatory requirements.
• Research and visit potential warehouses and operational facilities.
• Contact suppliers and obtain and compare quotations for equipment, services, and other business needs.
• Visit restaurants and other businesses to develop relationships and close used cooking oil collection accounts.
• Recruit, train, and manage sales representatives, subject to management approval.
• Coordinate customer collections and day-to-day operations.
• Track sales, collection volumes, and operational progress.
• Provide regular reports to company management in the United States.
• Follow management's priorities while independently completing assigned tasks and solving problems.

Financial Responsibilities

The manager will not control company finances or make major purchases independently.

Their responsibility is to research suppliers, obtain quotations, negotiate where authorized, and provide recommendations. All major purchases and financial commitments require management approval.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Previous experience in operations, business development, sales, logistics, project management, or a related field.
• Strong communication, organization, and negotiation skills.
• Highly trustworthy and able to work independently.
• Comfortable conducting in-person sales visits and working in the field.
• Own reliable vehicle and valid South African driver's license required.
• Strong computer and reporting skills.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is proactive, entrepreneurial, trustworthy, and capable of turning daily instructions into completed tasks without constant supervision.

Performance will be measured by business setup progress, new accounts, sales performance, collection growth, and completion of assigned tasks.

Pay: R20 000,00 - R24 207,59 per month
