InstallerNet SA is a field-services and installation company for fleet telematics and vehicle safety hardware, including GPS trackers, dash cameras, sensors, and driver safety systems. It operates as its own independent business, though it is owned by Optix, its main supplier (alongside other suppliers). InstallerNet manages field installation projects across South Africa and international deployments worldwide.

We're looking for an Operations Manager to run InstallerNet SA's day-to-day operations, with full accountability for the business unit.

Minimum Requirements

• 8+ years in fleet telematics, vehicle technology, or field-installation/hardware operations, including several years in operations or general management
• Proven track record managing partner or installer networks, ideally across multiple countries and time zones, with the flexibility to work weekends and outside normal hours when needed
• Working knowledge of fleet telematics and vehicle hardware (GPS trackers, telematics units, dash cams, sensors, CAN integrations, fatigue monitoring devices, and safety equipment for mining, road vehicles, and other machinery where safety matters)
• Comfortable operating with autonomy at a senior level, with clear communication and a people-first approach
• Formal qualifications in engineering, logistics, or business management are an advantage but not required

Duties & Responsibilities

• Run InstallerNet SA's day-to-day operations — scheduling, resourcing, and delivering installation projects locally and internationally
• Lead and grow the team, including hiring and performance management
• Build supplier and partner relationships and grow the business's revenue
• Oversee project delivery, documentation, and billing to keep quality high and costs under control
• Represent InstallerNet SA in business reviews and cross-unit planning
• Set the standard for excellence and respect across the business

Manages InstallerNet SA's operational and field team, and works closely with Product Development and Hardware Support, installer partners, customers, and Optix executive leadership.

Key Performance Indicators

• Running InstallerNet SA as a deployment and field-service business, with jobs well scheduled and field installers delivering on time
• Bringing in trusted third-party partners and contractors to cover jobs and regions the in-house team can't reach
• Keeping costs efficient and margins healthy across the business
• Minimising time from receiving an order to execution, across all suppliers and job types
• Keeping supplier communication frequent — over-communicating rather than leaving gaps
• Maximising field-service capacity for the most jobs per day, while keeping costs under control
