OPERATIONS & PROJECTS MANAGER – LPG & FUEL INFRASTRUCTURE

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced Operations & Projects Manager to take ownership of our LPG and fuel infrastructure operations.

This is a senior operational role responsible for project delivery, compliance, health & safety, procurement, quality control, and operational planning across both businesses.

Reporting directly to the Director, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required standard. You will also oversee the Maintenance, Logistics & Fleet functions and help drive operational performance, accountability, and continuous improvement across the business.

This role is best suited to a practical operator who enjoys responsibility, problem-solving, and getting things done.

Rexxon Green Fuels (RGF) & Western Cape Bulk Gas (WCBG): Cape Town, Western Cape

Salary: R40,000 – R50,000 per month (depending on experience)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage LPG and fuel installation projects from planning through to handover.
• Lead project scheduling, procurement, resource allocation, and execution.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, regulatory, and industry requirements.
• Monitor project costs, quality, and delivery performance.
• Conduct site inspections and implement corrective actions where required.
• Perform project documentation, testing records, compliance certificates, and handovers.
• Oversee fleet readiness, maintenance planning, and operational compliance.
• Coordinate effectively with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Identify risks early and implement solutions before they impact operations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 5 years' experience in Operations Management, Project Management, Contracts Management, or a similar leadership role.
• Proven experience within LPG, fuel, mechanical, industrial, piping, construction, infrastructure, or related technical industries.
• Strong understanding of project delivery, compliance, health & safety, and quality management.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, teams, suppliers, and subcontractors simultaneously.
• Strong commercial awareness with a solid understanding of project costing and profitability.
• Strong computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Valid driver's licence.

ADVANTAGEOUS EXPERIENCE

• LPG and fuel infrastructure projects.
• Project costing, procurement, and operational reporting.
• ERP systems, project tracking software, and business process improvement.
• Experience implementing systems and procedures to improve efficiency and accountability.
