Orderly

TAH Bellville forms part of TAH (The Animal Hospital & Vetshop) and is looking for an orderly/kennel assistant to join their fab team. TAH is a growing and employee-centred network of vet practices committed to building motivated teams who create happy clients and healthy pets.

The orderly role is critical for supporting our vets, nurses and health technicians when working with patients and for maintaining the clean, stress-free environment required for our patients comfort and general well-being.

Responsibilities:

· Maintain hygiene and animal well-being: Clean facilities; Support hospital in-patient care.

· Support the treatment of animals: Support theatre procedures.

Requirements and skills:

Education: Grade 10

Work Experience: No specific work experience required (depending on seniority of role).

Skills: Cleanliness & hygiene protocols, Cleaning & disinfecting, Handling and disposal of contaminants & medical waste, Knowledge of food and feeding protocols, Animal grooming, Hospital in-patient care, Drip preparation & pump operation
