Role Overview
The Outbound/Dispatch Clerk is responsible for ensuring that all outbound orders, stock transfers, and deliveries are accurately picked, packed, documented, and dispatched in a timely manner. The role verifies outgoing goods against relevant documentation, maintains accurate dispatch records, and supports the efficient movement of stock to customers, regions, and internal stakeholders. The incumbent ensures compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and health and safety requirements while contributing to smooth and efficient warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate outbound deliveries and stock transfers
- Ensure orders are accurately picked, packed and dispatched
- Verify dispatch documentation before release
- Coordinate transport bookings and schedules
- Maintain accurate dispatch records
- Investigate dispatch discrepancies
- Communicate delivery status to stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with company policies and health & safety requirements.
Desired Skills and Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- National Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Warehouse Management
- Registration with professional logistics bodies (e.g. SAPICS) is an advantage.
Technical Skills
- Relevant warehouse administration experience, 2 – 3 years
- Working with ERP/WMS systems, 2 – 3 years
- Experience in inventory control and documentation accuracy, 2 – 3 years
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, stock control, and distribution processes
