As the final line of defense before products are dispatched, you will be responsible for verifying order accuracy, identifying discrepancies, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring customer satisfaction through flawless execution. JOB PURPOSE

The purpose of the Packing Double Checker is to verify the accuracy, completeness, and quality of customer orders during and after the production process. The role ensures all orders are packed according to customer specifications, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and delivery deadlines, contributing to 100% order accuracy and exceptional customer satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Order Double Checking & Verification

• Conduct thorough double checks on customer orders during production and before dispatch.
• Verify that all units are present and match the order quantity specified on the job card, picking list, or system.
• Ensure products, sizes, colours, branding, quantities, and packaging configurations are correct.
• Confirm that completed orders meet customer requirements and company quality standards.
• Prevent incorrect, incomplete, or damaged products from being dispatched to customers.

Quality Assurance

• Perform detailed inspections of packed orders to ensure quality compliance.
• Verify that packaging is neat, secure, and suitable for transportation.
• Identify defects, shortages, overages, labelling errors, or packing discrepancies.
• Escalate quality concerns immediately to the relevant department or supervisor.
• Contribute to reducing internal and external customer complaints through accurate checking.

Issue Identification & Resolution

• Identify stock, quantity, quality, or packing discrepancies efficiently.
• Report all errors and discrepancies to the Stock Controller within 15 minutes of identification.
• Ensure corrective actions are initiated before orders proceed to dispatch.
• Maintain accurate records of identified issues and resolutions.

Production & Dispatch Support

• Prioritise urgent, deadline-driven orders to ensure on-time delivery.
• Follow daily production schedules and dispatch priorities.
• Support team members to ensure workflow continuity and customer commitments are met.
• Assist with repacking, re-counting, and rechecking orders when required.

Compliance & Process Adherence

• Follow all department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Adhere to quality, health and safety, housekeeping, and operational standards.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives aimed at reducing errors and increasing efficiency.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Additional training in Quality Control, Production, Warehousing, Logistics, or Inventory Management will be advantageous.

EXPERIENCE

• 2-3 years' experience in a production, packing, quality checking, warehouse, or manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience in order verification, stock counting, packing, dispatch, or quality control preferred.
• Experience working with production schedules and customer deadlines is advantageous.
