Painter

AAH Construction is seeking a skilled and reliable Painter to join our construction and maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, painting, repairing, and finishing interior and exterior areas according to project specifications, quality standards, and site safety requirements.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Painter or in a similar role
• Trade Test Certificate or relevant painting qualification
• Experience in construction, building maintenance, repairs, and renovations
• Knowledge of surface preparation, plaster repairs, sanding, priming, painting, waterproofing, and finishing
• Ability to use painting tools and equipment safely
• Ability to follow measurements, specifications, and work instructions
• Must be reliable, punctual, hardworking, and able to work as part of a team
• Must follow site health and safety rules at all times

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, filling, and priming
• Apply paint, varnish, sealants, waterproofing products, and other finishes
• Paint interior and exterior walls, ceilings, doors, frames, and other surfaces
• Repair cracks, holes, and minor surface defects before painting
• Mix and match paint colours where required
• Ensure all painting work is neat, clean, and completed to required quality standards
• Protect floors, furniture, fittings, and surrounding areas before painting
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area
• Follow instructions from the Site Supervisor or Construction Supervisor
• Assist with other general construction and maintenance duties when required
