Paralegal

We’re Hiring: Paralegal

A Florida based legal firm is looking for an experienced Paralegal to join their team remotely from South Africa.

Hours: 8am-5pm EST with an 1 hr lunch.

Salary: $1300 - $1600 per month (Depending on qualifications and experience)

Location: Remote

Responsibilities:

- Manage a caseload of 60–85 litigation cases, independently or with support

- Support attorneys through litigation from case intake to settlement

- Organize, upload, and maintain litigation documents in case management software

- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, adjusters, court clerks, and experts

- Conduct client and witness interviews and prepare summaries

- Provide case updates to clients every 30 days

- Research statutes, regulations, legal articles, and judicial decisions; provide written analysis

- Draft pleadings, motions, correspondence, discovery requests, and notices for hearings, depositions, and mediations

- Conduct pre-litigation checklists and intake calls to ensure all documents are obtained

- E-file documents for state and federal cases

- Coordinate meetings, depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation

- Assist attorneys with trial notebooks, calendars, and filing trial-related documents

- Liaise with investigators and external parties as needed

- Other assignments and projects as directed by management

Requirements:

- Understanding of legal terminology, court procedures, and litigation processes

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

- Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

- Strong client service skills, including empathy and professionalism

- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and case management software

- Ability to maintain confidentiality, discretion, and professional judgment

- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
