Part-Time Client Success Manager for @eatcouver (Remote, Cape Town)

Eatcouver

Cape Town, Western Cape

Salary not listedPart-time · Posted Today

Job description

We're the team behind @eatcouver, a Canadian food platform with 100k+ followers, built over the last decade, and we're looking for a CSM in Cape Town to join our growing team.

You'd be the face of our brand for each restaurant we work with, and the person who makes each client feel less like a client and more like family.

If you're an experienced CSM who genuinely loves being the person clients trust, message, and rely on, keep reading. If that’s not you, swipe away.

What the work looks like:

  • You'll own the day-to-day relationship with each of our clients (we call them partners), primarily through WhatsApp. That includes onboarding new partners, scheduling their monthly shoots, sending invoices, sharing performance reports, and being the friendly face of our brand.
  • Templates and standard operating procedures are your foundation, but conversations are dynamic; no two are alike. The real skill is reading tone, anticipating what's needed, and making each restaurant owner feel like Eatcouver is dedicated entirely to them — even while you're handling ten of them at once.
  • On any given day, you might be running an onboarding call with a new restaurant, following up on a declined invoice, scheduling next month's shoot around a chef's catering event, sending a performance update tied to that month's results, or simply being the friendly check-in that makes an owner feel taken care of.
  • You'll use WhatsApp, Google Calendar, Stripe (for invoicing), and AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT to draft messages and work smarter over time.

You're the right fit if:

  • You've worked as a CSM for at least two years, ideally with North American clients, and you can hit the ground running without needing to be trained on the fundamentals.
  • You're fluent in English, including grammar and spelling, and you write in a personable, human-like way - not like a template is being pasted.
  • You can manage 10+ ongoing client relationships at once without things slipping through the cracks.
  • You naturally treat clients like family. You remember the details that matter to them, you check in genuinely, and you make people feel cared for — not like a part of a pipeline.
  • You are aware of basic principles in behavioural psychology and understand how message timing, structure, and framing influence responses. You use that skill to make every update, ask, or offer feel positive and win-win, not transactional.
  • You can read tone over text. You know when a quick "got it!" works, when a longer warmer reply is needed, and when something needs to be escalated to leadership instead of handled on your own.
  • You follow detailed processes closely, but you also think critically about them and will communicate when you believe a process can be improved.
  • You use AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT to work smarter, not as a crutch, and you're always looking for ways to automate the mundane to focus on what moves the needle.
  • You have a growth mindset. You’re open to feedback, love learning, and are eager to contribute to a growing company.

Room to Grow:

Managing client relationships is the starting point, not the ceiling. We're a startup building in real time, which means the people who take initiative get pulled into more of what we're building, not less — whether that's leading other team members down the line, taking on more strategic client work, or generally helping to shape how we do things.

We're looking for someone to grow with us, and that means we won't be above you: you'll be part of the team.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Starting rate: R300/hr, with room to grow based on performance and fit.
  • R575 per successful upsell closed.
  • Additional bonuses for collecting invoices on time.
  • 5-10 hours/week to start, with growth to full time if you are genuinely great.
  • Able to work other roles at the same time, especially while building up.
  • Fully remote.
  • Core hours, mostly synchronous. Client-facing communication happens between 4:00pm and 12:00am CAT/SAST. Non-client-facing work (admin, prep, catching up) can happen anytime.
  • If you're an A-player who delivers real value and takes initiative beyond the primary role, compensation, responsibilities, and hours will grow with you.

How to Apply:

To apply, first apply through Indeed, then please record a quick Loom video (or any free platform like Vimeo or YouTube). Answer/include:

  • What is your experience managing clients as a CSM? Have you worked with North American clients?
  • Walk me through a recent conversation you handled as a CSM and explain your thought process throughout. Screen share if possible.

Then please send me the link directly on the @eatcouver Instagram, along with your full name and one or two sentences on why this role specifically caught your eye.

Speak soon! :)

Pay: From R300,00 per hour
