Part-Time FET Tutor – Maths, Maths Lit, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences & IsiZulu

We are looking for an experienced and confident FET Tutor to provide academic support to learners in Grades 10–12.

The successful candidate must be able to tutor all five of the following subjects at FET level:

• Mathematics
• Mathematical Literacy
• Physical Sciences
• Life Sciences
• IsiZulu

This is a part-time role suited to someone with strong subject knowledge, good learner-management skills and experience supporting senior learners with both content mastery and examination preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tutoring to learners in Grades 10–12.
• Tutor learners in Mathematics, Mathematical Literacy, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences and IsiZulu
• Conduct both one-on-one and small-group tutoring sessions.
• Assist learners with homework, assignments, projects and assessments.
• Prepare learners for tests, prelims and final examinations.
• Identify learning gaps and provide targeted academic support.
• Explain difficult concepts clearly and in a learner-friendly manner.
• Prepare additional revision activities, worksheets and practice material where necessary.
• Use past papers and examination-style questions to improve learner performance.
• Help learners strengthen study skills, examination technique and time management.
• Monitor learner progress and provide feedback where required.
• Maintain a professional, structured and supportive learning environment.

Minimum Requirements:

Applicants must:

• Have a minimum of 2 years' teaching or tutoring experience.
• Have proven experience tutoring FET learners in Grades 10–12.
• Be able to confidently tutor all five subjects: Mathematics, Mathematical Literacy, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences and IsiZulu.
• Have strong subject knowledge across all four subjects.
• Have a good understanding of the South African senior secondary curriculum.
• Be confident working with both individual learners and small groups.
• Be able to prepare learners for formal assessments and examinations.
• Be patient, organised, professional and dependable.
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be computer literate and comfortable using online educational resources.
• Be able to work independently and take initiative.
• Have reliable transport to and from work.

Important:

A minimum of 2 years' relevant teaching or tutoring experience is non-negotiable.

Applicants must also be able to tutor Mathematics, Mathematical Literacy, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences and IsiZulu at FET level.

Salary:

R5,000 per month

We are looking for a knowledgeable and committed tutor who is confident working with senior learners and able to support them towards improved academic performance and examination readiness.

Pay: R6 000,00 per month
