Part-Time Grade 11 Life Sciences Tutor
About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated, knowledgeable and reliable Life Sciences tutor to provide academic support to a Grade 11 learner following the CAPS/DBE curriculum.
The successful candidate should have strong knowledge of the Grade 11 Life Sciences curriculum, be able to explain concepts clearly, and be committed to helping the learner improve their understanding and academic performance.
Requirements
Applicants must:
- Have achieved 70% or higher in Life Sciences in Matric (Attach NSC Certificate).
- Have a minimum of 1 year of previous tutoring experience.
- Have strong knowledge of the CAPS/DBE Life Sciences curriculum, particularly at Grade 11 level.
- Be able to explain complex concepts clearly and adapt teaching methods to the learner's individual needs.
- Be reliable, professional and punctual.
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be able to provide proof of academic results and previous tutoring experience if requested.
Responsibilities
The successful tutor will be expected to:
- Provide one-on-one Grade 11 Life Sciences tuition.
- Prepare lessons according to the learner's academic needs.
- Explain Life Sciences concepts clearly and thoroughly.
- Assist with problem areas, homework, revision and examination preparation.
- Help the learner develop effective study and examination techniques.
- Monitor the learner's progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Complete lesson and progress reports where required.
- Maintain professional communication with the learner and parent/guardian.
