Part-Time Junior Social Media & Marketing Assistant

Jicama 89 is looking for a creative, enthusiastic and digitally savvy Junior Social Media & Marketing Assistant to help us grow our online presence, increase engagement and build awareness of the work we do.

This is a great opportunity for a marketing student, recent graduate or junior marketing professional looking to gain practical experience in social media, digital marketing and content creation.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with managing Jicama 89’s social media platforms Create and schedule engaging social media content.

Assist with growing followers and improving engagement.

Develop creative content ideas aligned with our brand and audience.

Monitor social media trends and identify opportunities for growth Assist with campaigns, promotions and awareness initiatives.

Track basic social media performance and prepare simple reports.

Respond to comments, messages and online engagement where required.

Support the wider marketing team with digital marketing activities.

What We’re Looking For Marketing, communications, digital marketing or social media student or junior professional.

Strong interest in social media and digital marketing.

Creative mindset with an eye for engaging content.

Good written communication skills Comfortable using platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and TikTok Basic knowledge of Canva and social media scheduling tools is advantageous.

Reliable, organised and willing to learn A proactive attitude and ability to work independently Previous work experience is not essential — we are interested in your creativity, enthusiasm and potential.

Pay: R6 527,05 - R12 000,00 per month
