Job description
Job Purpose:
The Part-Time Lecturer in Higher Certificate in Supply Chain Management (NQF Level 5) will be responsible for high-quality online delivery of teaching and learning of a number of modules.
The role focuses on facilitating student lonline earning and engagment, developing relevant academic content, and ensuring that teaching aligns with industry standards and institutional quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures in Supply Chain Management (online Mode)
- Facilitate interactive learning using case studies, practical examples, and industry-based scenarios (using Moodle)
- Develop and update study materials in line with the programme outcomes (graduate attributes) and NQF Level 5 requirements
- Design and administer assessments (assignments, tests, examinations, and other types of assessments)
- Mark and provide timely, constructive feedback to students
- Support student academic development and monitor progress
- Participate in internal moderation and quality assurance processes
- Engage with the Learning Management System (Moodle)
- Contribute to continuous curriculum improvement and programme development where required
Minimum Requirements
- A relevant Bachelor’s degree (NQF Level 7) in Supply chain management, logistics, or related fields
- An Hons degree and Master’s degree will be advantageous
- At least 2–3 years’ teaching / industry experience
- Understanding of outcomes-based education and assessment practices
- Strong communication and facilitation skills
Preferred Attributes
- Previous lecturing experience in higher education (including online)
- Industry experience in logistics, transportation, and supply chain management
- Familiarity with online teaching and digital learning platforms (Moodle, E-Library, etc.)
- Assessor and/or Moderator experience
Pay: R300,00 - R500,00 per hour
Expected hours: 15.0 – 20.0 per week
Education:
- Bachelors (Preferred)
Experience:
- teaching / industry: 2 years (Preferred)
