ABOUT THE WORKING ENVIRONMENT

We are a small, growing Hindu faith-based ecommerce business. Our products, branding and daily work are centred around Hindu deities and devotional traditions.

ABOUT THE POSITION

We are looking for a dependable, careful and organised person to assist with preparing products, packaging materials and customer orders.

This is a hands-on role that would suit someone who enjoys structured tasks, takes pride in neat work and understands the importance of getting the small details right.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing products in advance for order packing
• Preparing packaging by cutting and folding cards, placing items into sleeves and assembling boxes
• Assisting with packing customer orders
• Counting and recording stock at the end of every shift
• Setting up and packing away the workstation
• Keeping products, packaging materials and the working area clean and organised

As the business grows, there may occasionally be small changes or additions to these duties. These will always be discussed with you.

• Are able to travel reliably to Umhlanga every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
• Will treat Hindu devotional products and the working environment with genuine respect

Familiarity with Hindu deities may make it easier to learn the product range, but it is not required. Full training will be provided.

This is an on-site position based within a shared workspace.

The appointment will begin with a four-week probationary period, giving both the successful applicant and the business an opportunity to ensure that the role is a good fit. Reference checks will be conducted, and shortlisted applicants may be invited to complete a paid practical assessment.
