PARTS SALES EXECUTIVE –_GARDEN ROUTE

The Role

Experienced and customer-focused with strong OEM parts knowledge, the ability to service the workshop, internal departments and counter sales successfully.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide professional and efficient service to customers, Sales and Workshop departments.
• Prepare accurate and competitive parts quotations.
• Ensure all required parts are available for scheduled service bookings.
• Pre-pick parts where possible.
• Issue parts to workshop/technicians timeously.
• Be able to accurately identify parts using electronic parts catalogues.
• Consult with Technician & Service Advisor and provide quotations for additional work as quickly as possible for authorisation.
• Assist with over-the-counter sales and quotes.
• Assist with telephonic enquiries and quotes.
• Help check-in stock, check and record shortages or damages and assist Parts Manager to bin parts correctly.
• Assist Parts Manager by maintaining correct stock levels and parameters.
• Help with regular stock-checks and stock-take preparation for financial year end.
• Assist the Parts Manager with daily operations and stock control.
• Maintain pre-determined gross profit parameters
• Housekeeping on a regular basis, keeping working area neat and tidy.

Skills and Experience MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Matric/Grade 12.

Mathematics and Science will be advantageous.

Proficient in English and Afrikaans.

Computer literate with good knowledge of Email, Microsoft Word and Excel.

Five years' parts experience within a retail motor environment.

Experience working on Dealer Management Systems (DMS).

Experience with Evolve will be advantageous.

Good understanding of electronic parts catalogues.

Technical knowledge or mechanical understanding will be advantageous.

Previous parts training within the retail motor industry will be advantageous.

Strong customer service and communication skills.

Ability to work accurately under pressure.

Valid Driver’s Licence
