Parts Storeman

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:

To manage both inward and outward stock movement whilst maintaining accuracy and integrity of the store/s inventory records under your direction including all associated documentation and recording keeping for accounting purposes.

To develop and maintain a professional relationship with third party carriers, courier companies, and freight forwarders ensuring our brands reputation and values are portrayed.

Where an offsite is utilized ensure all stock records are kept up to date maintaining accuracy and that any interaction.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Goods Movement:

· Picking Parts according to customer requests/Invoice and package it according to the required customer specification.

· Manage all stock movement, collecting and delivery by and to Customers

· Packing out of all incoming stock and re- packing of any other outgoing stock.

· Report any deviances from receipt of income stock and any other related deviances to your immediate supervisor.

2. Housekeeping:

· Keep Storage of stock in a tidy and orderly manner.

· Keep Parts Warehouse clean.

· Ensure that parts/boxed for customers are correctly labelled and kept in separate locations to avoid any build-up in inventory.

· Keep an organized space for any relevant empty boxes that are housed for display stock.

3. Health and Safety:

· Attend the required Toolbox Talks

· Contribute to a safe and healthy work environment.

· Reporting all accidents and hazards.

· Avoid unsafe practices.

· Meeting the strategies and goals of the Health and Safety Act.

4. Other:

· Occasional collection of parts from head office based on demand

· To adhere to all company Policies and any other adhoc tasks that arise at the request of the manager.

EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS:

· Matric (Gr 12) or equivalent of an Gr 12 Certificate

· Product Knowledge (Manitou Certificates) advantageous

· Valid driver’s license

· License to operate MSA forklift’s

EXPERIENCE:

· At least 2 years’ experience in the warehouse environment and forklift operation

· Ability to clean, tidy and organize

· Strong Documentation skills

· Excellent read and write in English

INTERNAL/EXTERNAL CONNECTIONS:

· Works in partnership with almost all departments at the Headquarters to ensure close alignment

· Represents the company as appropriate in its relationships with Key Account customers, new customers, suppliers, competitors, government agencies, professional societies and MSA Dealers.

· This position is based at 20 September street, Middelburg, South Africa
