Payments Sales Executive

About the role Our client is looking for a driven Payments Sales Executive to join a growing fintech business in a field-based role.

This is a hands-on sales role focused on winning new business within the hospitality sector. You will spend most of your time on the road meeting restaurants, bars, hotels, QSRs and other businesses, generating your own leads, presenting payment solutions and closing new customers.

Responsibilities* Generate new business through proactive prospecting, cold calling and face-to-face visits.

• Build and manage your own sales pipeline and territory.
• Meet with business owners and decision-makers to understand their needs and present suitable payment and POS solutions.
• Conduct product demonstrations, negotiate terms and close deals.
• Build strong relationships with new customers and manage the sales process through to onboarding.
• Work towards monthly sales targets while managing your own diary and activity independently.

Requirements

• 2–3+ years' experience in field sales, business development or B2B sales.
• Experience in payments, POS, fintech, merchant services or hospitality sales would be highly advantageous.
• Proven track record of generating your own leads and closing face-to-face sales.
• Confident, energetic and commercially minded with strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Own reliable vehicle and valid South African driver's licence.
• Comfortable spending most of your working week on the road.
• Based in Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal or the Western Cape.
