We utilize a platform that will connect with primary care providers regarding all visits. We do so for patients from infancy through 21 years of age at lower costs than in-office visits. Job Responsibilities:

• The Registered Nurse is responsible for triaging patients to the appropriate level of care with the appropriate level of urgency
• Answer all inbound telephone calls with unparalleled customer service and in a timely manner
• Utilizes all appropriate clinical triage processes, protocols, and procedures to effectively navigate patients based on clinical needs
• Assesses patient symptoms or needs by phone to determine priority of treatment
• Understands the needs of patients and offers recommendations and education to triage patients and schedule them with the appropriate level of care
• Participates in care coordination for patients by working collaboratively with patients to best understand their needs and aiming to reduce ER admissions
• Assists patient in scheduling provider appointments and communicating with the provider as necessary
• Documents symptoms and instructions in the patient's electronic medical record
• Attends workshops, seminars and/or conferences to maintain standards and best practices within the field
• Comply with all HIPAA and other regulatory standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate is a team player who can be part of a virtual healthcare team with medical assistants, pediatricians, and social workers, but is also an independent thinker and problem-solver who is comfortable working in a clinical environment.

• Active, unrestricted RN Licensure (multi-state or willing to convert to multi-state)
• Approximately 3 or more years of Pediatric nursing work experience
• Approximately 3 or more years of related work experience as a triage RN in a physician practice or hospital setting
• Previous supervisory experience
• Ability to maintain licensure in multiple states, as requested
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
• Positive and welcoming approach with all patients and coworkers
• Tech savvy with computer proficiency and keyboarding skills
• Familiarity with medical terminology and working with an EMR system
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Willingness to learn new skills and comfortable working in a startup environment
