About the role People Internship Programme is a fixed-term opportunity designed to provide practical exposure to various People functions within a retail environment. The programme offers hands-on experience, mentorship, and support, enabling interns to develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to build a successful career in Human Resources while gaining valuable insight into how people practices support business operations.

What you'll do Gain exposure to various People functions within a retail environment. Assist with recruitment, selection, and onboarding activities. Support employee relations processes and HR initiatives. Maintain accurate employee records and HR administration. Assist with training, learning, and development activities. Support employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives. Gaining a better understanding and offering HR support to managers and employees across the business. Assist with workforce planning and organisational projects. Gaining knowledge of compliance with company policies, procedures, and labour legislation. Participate in projects and activities that contribute to business and people objectives. Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across the business. Gain exposure into structured training, coaching, and mentorship sessions to support your development. Through this programme, you will gain valuable hands-on experience, practical HR knowledge, and the support needed to build a successful career in People Management and Resources.

What you bring A passion for people and a genuine interest in building a career in Human Resources. A relevant HR, Industrial Psychology, Business Management, or related qualification (completed or currently studying, where applicable). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A willingness to learn and gain exposure to different HR disciplines. Good planning, organisational, and administrative skills. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Professionalism, integrity, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. A customer-focused mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving. The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. A positive attitude, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous learning.
