About Us
Be the Salt & Light NPC is a registered South African non-profit organisation (established in 2023) with over 23 years of professional experience in the performing arts and community development sector.
We believe in the power of Applied Theatre and the Performing Arts to promote healing, education, awareness, personal development and social transformation. Our programmes use theatre, music, dance and choir as creative tools to empower individuals and communities, particularly vulnerable groups.
We are currently building a database of experienced Performing Arts Professionals for future funded programmes and projects across South Africa.
Who We're Looking For
We invite passionate and experienced professionals in the following disciplines to submit their CVs:
- Choir Facilitators
- Dance Teachers
- Music Teachers
- Drama / Theatre Practitioners
- Applied Theatre Practitioners
- Performing Arts Educators
Successful applicants will be added to our professional database and contacted when suitable funded opportunities become available.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Performing Arts, Music, Drama, Dance, Education or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years' professional experience in your discipline.
- Experience facilitating workshops or teaching groups.
- Passion for community development and the arts.
- Willingness to work with vulnerable individuals and communities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
Experience With Any of the Following Will Be an Advantage
