Personal Assistant: Service Delivery Management and Coordination. Ref No. DSD 89/2026

Job Purpose

Department of Social Development, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to render a secretarial support service to a senior manager(s). The successful incumbent must be willing to travel when required.

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification) plus an accredited secretarial diploma and/or administrative qualification on the level of NQF level 5 or relevant higher tertiary qualification; A minimum of 3 years experience in rendering secretarial/ administrative support services to management/ senior management.

Key Performance Areas

Provide a secretarial/receptionist support service to the manager; Render administrative support services to the manager; Provide support to manager regarding meetings; Support the manager with the administration of the manager’s budget; Study the relevant Public Service and departmental prescripts/ policies and other documents and ensure that the application thereof is understood properly.

Remuneration

R 338 106 – R 398 277 per annum (Salary level 7)

Note on remuneration in addition service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
