Personal Care Worker

JOB DESCRIPTION

· All duties to be performed with respect and dignity towards residents, their family and co workers

· Experience in the following:

Oxygen (Portable and Electrical Concentrator)

CPAP Machine

Nebuliser

Observations (Physical, Vitals)

Medication Administration

Personal care including dressing and mobility,

· Check the condition of the resident and record in nursing notes

· Check work schedule and Assist residents with:

· Meal Preparation and serving and assist patient when needed.

· Do mouthcare after every meal

· Assist patient to toilet when necessary

· Assist resident with ambulation and mobility in and around the house (Moving and walking) including safe transfer from bed to chair and back

· Help resident with exercises (Active and passive)

· Report any changes in conditions of patient to the P.A.

· Ensure resident safety and well-being.

· Ensure a clean environment for resident.

Experience:

• Caring for the elderly: 3 years (Required)

Language:

• Afrikaans (Required) - Speak
• English (Required) – Speak and Write

License/Certification:

• Home Based Care certificate (Required)

Work Location: In person

Pay: R8 000,00 - R10 000,00 per month
