WE ARE HIRING – PEST CONTROL TECHNICIANS
SM Family Group is looking for experienced and motivated Pest Control Technicians to join our growing team in Cape Town and Johannesburg.
Position: Pest Control TechnicianLocations: Cape Town & JohannesburgEmployment Type: Full-time
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid Pest Control Operator (PCO) registration with the Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development (P-Number).
- Registered with the South African Pest Control Association (SAPCA) will be an advantage.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the pest control industry.
- Knowledge of general pest control, rodent control, termite treatments, and fumigation (where applicable).
- Valid South African driver’s licence.
- Clean criminal record.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to work after hours and weekends when required.
- Physically fit and comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
- Must reside in or near Cape Town or Johannesburg.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct pest inspections and identify infestations.
- Carry out pest control treatments safely and effectively.
- Install and maintain rodent bait stations and monitoring systems.
- Complete service reports and job cards accurately.
- Advise clients on pest prevention measures.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain company equipment and vehicle in good condition.
