Pest Control Operator (PCO) / Site Supervisor – Gardening Services
About the Opportunity
Agility Projects & Consulting (Pty) Ltd is building a team of qualified professionals for a long-term vegetation management and gardening services project. We are seeking an experienced Pest Control Operator (PCO) / Site Supervisor to lead site operations and ensure safe, compliant herbicide application and vegetation management activities.
Minimum Requirements
- Valid DALRRD Registered Pest Control Operator (PCO) Licence (Mandatory)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in vegetation management, landscaping, horticulture, gardening services or similar environment
- Experience supervising field personnel and coordinating daily work activities
- Knowledge of:
- Herbicide application
- Weed control
- Alien invasive plant management
- Environmental compliance
- Good communication and leadership skills
- Ability to prepare basic reports and maintain site records
- Valid South African driver’s licence will be an advantage
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise gardening and vegetation management teams
- Ensure herbicides are applied in accordance with legislation and company procedures
- Manage weed and invasive plant control programmes
- Conduct site inspections and monitor work quality
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety requirements
- Maintain daily records and submit progress reports
- Coordinate resources, equipment and personnel on site
- Promote safe work practices and environmental compliance
