Phone Specialist - Kenilworth

FARO Connect is our dedicated in-store phone and accessories concept, operating within FARO stores across the country. The Phone Specialist owns this space entirely — responsible for both driving sales and running the day-to-day operations of the cellphone department. This is a commercially focused role where roughly 90% of your time is spent on cellphone sales and operations, with the remainder contributing to the broader store team when needed.
This isn't just a sales role. You'll manage phone stock, handle inbounding and outbounding of devices, conduct stock takes, and ensure the department runs with the same precision we apply across the rest of the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Cellphone Sales & Customer Experience (Primary Focus)

• Drive cellphone sales and consistently meet individual and department targets
• Provide expert guidance on devices, plans, accessories, and add-ons — matching the right product to the right customer
• Handle all customer queries related to phones, from pre-sale questions through to post-sale support
• Sign customers up to our Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) platforms, guiding them through the process accurately and compliantly
• Upsell and cross-sell accessories, covers, and add-ons at point of sale
• Process all phone-related transactions accurately, including contracts, upgrades, and device registrations
• Stay current on new models, network promotions, and product features

Cellphone Department Operations

• Conduct regular phone stock takes and maintain accurate inventory records
• Manage the inbounding and outbounding of all phone stock, ensuring correct documentation and system capture
• Maintain the physical security, handling, and presentation of all devices in line with company standards
• Ensure the FARO Connect area is always merchandised, clean, and commercially presented
• Flag stock discrepancies, damages, or operational issues to your Store Manager promptly

General Store Contribution

• Assist customers across other departments when the phone department is quiet
• Support store housekeeping, merchandising, and replenishment as needed
• Participate in store opening and closing procedures
• Work collaboratively as part of the wider store team

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Previous experience in cellphone or electronics sales strongly preferred
• Comfortable with device registrations, contracts, and BNPL or credit application processes
• Strong customer service skills — able to build rapport and close a sale without being pushy
• Detail-oriented: stock accuracy and operational compliance matter as much as sales performance
• Target-driven and self-motivated — you take ownership of your department's results
• Flexible and reliable: retail hours including weekends and public holidays are part of the role
