Physiotherapist

Key responsibilities:

• Assess and treat musculoskeletal injuries and conditions.
• Perform physiotherapy evaluations and develop individual treatment plans.
• Treat sports injuries, back and neck pain, joint problems, muscle injuries and mobility issues.
• Provide rehabilitation following injuries, surgery or illness.
• Use appropriate techniques such as therapeutic exercise, stretching, manual therapy and other approved modalities.
• Help passengers improve mobility, strength, balance and function.
• Provide advice on injury prevention, posture, exercise and safe movement.
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
• Work with the ship's doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals when patients require additional medical care.
• Refer patients for medical assessment when a condition falls outside the physiotherapist's scope.
• Provide professional and friendly customer service to international passengers.
• Follow infection-control, health, safety and professional standards.
• Maintain treatment equipment and keep the physiotherapy area clean and organised.
• Depending on the cruise line, provide wellness services such as exercise programmes, stretching sessions or fitness advice.
• Work shifts and potentially evenings, weekends and holidays.

Requirements:

• A recognised degree/diploma in Physiotherapy.
• Current professional registration/licensing in your home country.
• Relevant clinical experience, particularly musculoskeletal, orthopaedic or sports physiotherapy.
• Current CPR/BLS certification is advantageous and may be required.
• Good English communication skills.
• Strong customer-service skills.
• Ability to work with people from different cultures.
• Previous cruise, hotel, spa or international experience can be an advantage.

Pay: R25 000,00 - R45 000,00 per month
