Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled, passionate Pizza Chef to join our kitchen team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality artisanal pizzas from scratch, managing dough preparation, maintaining oven temperatures, and ensuring every order goes out fast, fresh, and perfectly cooked.

Key Responsibilities

• Dough & Prep: Prepare fresh pizza dough, sauces, and high-quality toppings daily according to recipes.
• Hand-Stretching & Assembly: Hand-stretch dough to order, portion toppings accurately, and assemble pizzas consistently.
• Oven Management: Operates and monitors pizza ovens (wood-fired, gas, or deck ovens) to ensure precise cook times and crisp, high-standard crusts.
• Kitchen Station Maintenance: Keep work stations, prep areas, and equipment clean, sanitized, and organized in compliance with food safety standards.
• Inventory & Prep Control: Monitor ingredient stock, track shelf life, and restock station supplies prior to peak service hours.
• Team Collaboration: Work seamlessly with line cooks and front-of-house staff to ensure efficient ticket timing and quality output during busy services.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 1–2+ years of experience as a Pizza Chef, Pizzaiolo, or Line Cook in a fast-paced restaurant or pizzeria.
• Oven Expertise: Familiarity with high-heat pizza ovens (wood-fired, stone deck, or conveyor).
• Technique: Strong hands-on knowledge of dough hydration, fermentation, hand-stretching, and peeling techniques.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, work in high-temperature environments, and lift up to 20 kg (45 lbs).
• Certifications: Valid Food Handler / Food Safety Certification (or local equivalent).
• Flexibility: Availability to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and peak holiday periods.
