Job description
The purpose of the FMCG planner is to manage the merchandise plans in line with merchandise strategy, create supplier forecasts, plan and control stock to achieve maximum sales and profit targets.
Key Responsibilities
- In-season performance management of stock
- Analysis of performance data and develop pre-season plans
- Manage in-season Plans and the adjustment thereof as required
- Sales and Stock planning and promotional plans
- Product Management (Monitor, analyze and make recommendations of product life cycles)
- Supply Chain and management and DC integration
- Store support and visits
- Ad hoc projects
JOB INCUMBENT REQUIREMENTS
- Commercial or Statistical degree or diploma
- Planning experience within Baby Care will be advantageous
- Computer Literacy (MS Office and Google Suite) as well as experience in planning tools, i.e. Arthur/EP
- A minimum of 5+ years retail planning experience
- Competencies Required: Problem assessment; decision making; detail orientation; planning, organizing, and control; business acumen; stress tolerance; relationship building and confidence
- Good communication skills and a team player that can cope in a dynamic environment
