Planner Secondary (SNR) | Contract Logistics

Job Context

To provide expertise and advice to support the development of operational implementation plans and associated service delivery processes, methods and techniques and to perform secondary planning activities to ensure the on time and in full delivery of client / customer loads, contributing to client/customer satisfaction, optimal profitability, reduced risk and compliance to regulatory and legislative requirements.

Key Performance Areas (KPAs)

• Delivery work activities according to set standards in order to satisfy customers.
• Attend learning initiatives to improve work quality and enhance own skills.
• Own and live up to the company values.
• Execute own work according to set operating procedures service level agreements.
• Execute work in line with governance and compliance processes
• Plan and organise own tasks to make sure that performance targets are met and standard operating procedures are adhered to.
• Provide feedback regarding the resolution of clients or customer queries to operational stakeholders
• Compile and generate optimised secondary picking, loading and route plans
• Compile clients requirements specifications and stakeholder analyses on new clients take on projects.
• Deliver transport optimisation projects
• Report on the achievement of transport service delivery targets
• Request ,verify and capture master data on transport management systems
• Execute work activities effectively and efficiently in order to maximise financial performance
• Provide continuous feedback on task delivery to support decision making

Qualifications Required

• Bachelors or equivalent 3 year degree (NQF Level 7)

Skills and Experience Required

• Up to 5 years of experience in similar environment with at least 2 years tactical leadership or specialist experience.
