Job description
We are seeking an experienced PLC Programmer / Application Engineer to join our team in Pretoria. The position involves programming & configuration of PLC’s (mainly Siemens and Allen-Bradley), HMI development, troubleshooting and/or repair. The successful candidate will also be expected to write technical procedures and documentation for the applications including operations, user guide, etc.
This is an opportunity to work on challenging projects with some of the biggest names in the automotive industry
Responsibility:
- Offline PLC Programming / Development
- Support local installations / equipment commissioning on projects in the Gauteng region
- Support local customers. Callouts, change requests etc
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
Basic Qualification:
- A minimum of one year of experience in field service or equipment maintenance in a related industry
- Industrial automation experience
- Willing and able to travel within South Africa (A moderate amount of travel is required)
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Hands on experience in wiring of industrial equipment
- Familiarity with many aspects of systems integration (including PLC, HMI, networking, communication, power distribution)
Work Environment:
- Cost to company package on offer which includes Pension fund benefit and 13th cheque dependent on company and individual performance (To be discussed after interview phase)
