Job Description: Motus Autoworx, a dynamic leader in the vehicle repair industry is looking, is inviting applications from honest, trustworthy and highly responsible candidates with relevant polishing experience to apply for the position of Polisher at our Cape Town Speed shop branch.

Position Overview: The purpose of this position is to polish vehicles after the painting process to achieve a high-quality paint finish.

Minimum Experience:

• Advantageous: 2 years’ experience in a paint shop environment.

Minimum Qualification:

• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent

Minimum Requirements:

• Valid, unendorsed Code 8 driver’s license
• Computer literacy – basic level sufficient
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, at the required workplace standard.

Job Outputs:

• Check that paint is properly dry before starting the polishing process.
• Ensure vehicles are polished evenly without damaging or wearing through the paint surface.
• Inspect for overspray and report any issues to the Spray Painter or Production Manager.
• Check colour-match accuracy and report any concerns to the Spray Painter or Production Manager.
• Remove all excess polish before vehicles are handed over to assembly.
• Blow dust off vehicles before handing them over to the wash bay.
• Book hand-held tools and equipment into the storeroom at the end of each shift.
• Safeguard and take care of all tools and equipment at all times.

Working Conditions:

• Workshop-based role with exposure to paint fumes and chemicals (PPE provided).
• May require overtime, weekend work, or shift work depending on operational needs.
