Job description
Primary Purpose of the Job:
Providing stakeholders with relevant and timely information to facilitate appropriate decision making by maintaining valid, accurate and complete financial records and reporting accurate and complete management accounts, budgets and forecasts.
Key Performance Areas (KPA’s):
- To review and analyse accurate and complete trial balances for properties and portfolios
- To review, analyse and facilitate the timely and accurate completion and reporting of budgets and forecasts for both Income Statement and balance sheet for these properties and portfolios
- To provide and report timely, accurate and complete portfolio management accounts with variance commentary.
- To review and accrue for expenditure and to manage the accrual account on property at portfolio level

- Review arrears to raise appropriate bad debt provisions
- To assist management in tracking and driving result / yield improvement on property and portfolio level.
- To assist with the take on of properties during the acquisition and development phases
- To reconcile and process the adjustment accounts on disposal of properties
- To provide the business with regular reporting on the portfolio’s financial performance
- To effectively manage all reporting staff
- To assist financial managers with month end reviews and day to day operational requirements
- To review and analyse monthly balance sheet recons
- Review and posting of monthly tenant, special journals and any adhoc journals
Job Specific Requirements:
Job Knowledge:
- Knowledge of accounting.
- Knowledge of commercial property.
- Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting.

Education:
- B. Com Degree in finance, including accounting (Essential)
